Stuff I think you should read
Ezra Klein reports that Kansas governor Kathleen Sebelius will be giving the Democratic response to the State of the Union. Governor Sebelius has been floated as a possible VP choice for Obama should he win the nomination. Granted, I’m partial to Tim Kaine, but I would not be the least bit disappointed if Obama choose Sebelius for his running mate.
Dan at Fitness for the Occasion points out that John McCain (for all of his “moderate” rhetoric) is no friend to liberals, and is entirely willing to throw his eggs in the religious right’s basket.
Robert Reich asks Democrats to quit squabbling over relatively minor differences in health care proposals.
Romney wins in Michigan with the support of a large number of self-described conservatives and Republicans.
And the Bush administration has taken a brave stance against mining regulations. If miners didn’t want to die trapped in collapsed tunnels, then they should stick to something safer, like unemployment.
